GreenSource Energy · A TESH Group company
Solar canopies and EV charging, delivered by the team that builds the building.
GreenSource Energy brings solar carports, EV charging, and charging-station engineering to the owners, developers, and general contractors TESH Group already serves across California. One licensed contractor, one schedule, one point of accountability.
Four product lines
Cover the parking. Power the cars. Engineer the connection.
Each line stands on its own and all of them are designed to be delivered together on one footprint, under one contract.

01 · Steel canopies for parking lots and structures
Solar Carports
Pre-engineered semi-cantilever and T-cantilever steel canopies that shade one or two rows of parking and carry the photovoltaic array above them. Fabricated in Commerce, California by our manufacturing partner, erected and wired by GreenSource.

03 · Supercharger hosts, Supercharger for Business, NACS chargers
Tesla Charging
Four ways a property gets Tesla charging, and the site engineering and construction behind all of them. We prepare host sites, build Supercharger for Business sites, install Wall Connectors, and build owner-operated J3400 charging, under a canopy when you want one.

Why now
The code, the tax credit, and the utility are all pointing at the parking lot.

- 01
Title 24 now requires solar on new commercial and multifamily buildings
The 2025 California Energy Code took effect January 1, 2026. New nonresidential buildings and multifamily buildings of three or more stories must include a photovoltaic system, and the roof area of carports and covered parking counts toward the solar access roof area used to size it. A canopy can carry the array a constrained roof cannot.
California Energy Commission, 2025 Energy Code, Section 140.10
- 02
The 30 percent federal credit now has a deadline
Under the 2025 federal tax law, a commercial solar project that did not begin construction by July 4, 2026 must be placed in service by December 31, 2027 to claim the 30 percent Section 48E investment tax credit. For a canopy that means design and permits now and construction in 2027 at the latest. Cities, school districts, and other tax-exempt owners receive the same value as a direct payment through elective pay. Confirm eligibility with your tax advisor.

LADWP pays for the chargers underneath
LADWP's Commercial EV Charger Rebate Program has paid up to $5,000 per Level 2 charger and up to $125,000 per DC fast charger at multifamily, workplace, public, and commercial parking. It opens in enrollment windows, and LADWP lists the next one for October 2026 with revised terms. A canopy with EV charging below it pairs the solar credit and the charger rebate on one footprint.

One group, every trade
A canopy is foundations, steel, electrical, and a permit. We already own each of those.
Most canopy vendors sell a kit and leave the owner to find a foundation contractor, an electrician, and a permit expediter. GreenSource sits inside TESH Group, so design and permitting run through NAXA Design, steel runs through Cal Steel Modular, and the licensed general contractor and the field crews are the same people building the project next door.
- Site evaluation and layout within days, not weeks
- Stamped structural and electrical drawings for the permit set
- Caisson or spread footings poured by our own foundation crews
- Bolted steel erection, no field welding, no welding inspections
- PV, lighting, and EV charging installed and commissioned under one contract
- Operations and maintenance support after turnover
How a project runs
Six steps from a parking lot to a powered one.
01
Site evaluation
We walk the lot, confirm stall layout, drainage, and utility service, and return a layout with a preliminary array size and budget range.
02
Layout and engineering
Structural and electrical drawings are prepared for your jurisdiction, with geotechnical input for the footing design.
03
Permits and utility
Building permit, electrical permit, and the interconnection or service-upgrade application run in parallel.
04
Foundations
Caissons or spread footings are drilled or formed and poured by TESH crews, with anchor templates set to the manufacturer's base plates.
05
Steel erection
Columns, beams, and purlins arrive pre-cut and pre-punched. Bolted assembly, no field welding, a short erection window per row.
06
PV, lighting, and charging
Modules slide into the purlins, inverters and chargers are wired, and the system is commissioned and turned over with its operations and maintenance package.
Reference installations
Proven on public agencies, dealerships, retail centers, and campuses.

Solar carports
What a solar carport costs in California in 2026
Installed commercial solar carports in California run roughly $2.75 to $3.50 per watt, with the steel structure about half the cost.

Tesla charging
Tesla charging stations for your business: the four ways in
A property owner has four routes to Tesla charging: host a Tesla-owned Supercharger site, buy your own Superchargers through Tesla's Supercharger for Business program, join Destination Charging with Wall Connectors for guests, or install your own chargers with the NACS (SAE J3400) connector.
EV charging
